Recipe for Tagliatelle with cream and smoked salmon:
Ingredients:
- 400g Tagliatelle pasta
- 200g smoked salmon, sliced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup dry white wine (optional)
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Fresh dill, chopped, for garnish
- Grated Parmesan cheese, for serving
Instructions:
- Cook the tagliatelle pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large pan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and garlic, sautéing until they become soft and translucent.
- If using white wine, pour it into the pan and let it simmer for a couple of minutes to reduce slightly.
- Add the sliced smoked salmon to the pan and cook for 1-2 minutes, just until it begins to break apart.
- Pour in the heavy cream, stirring constantly. Allow the mixture to simmer for a few minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
- Season the sauce with salt and black pepper to taste. Keep in mind that smoked salmon can be salty, so be cautious with the salt.
- Add the cooked tagliatelle to the pan, tossing it in the creamy smoked salmon sauce until well-coated.
- Garnish with chopped fresh dill and serve immediately.
- Optionally, sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese on top before serving.
