Lemon Cheese Dump Cake:
Ingredients:
- 1 box of lemon cake mix
- 1 can (21 oz) of lemon pie filling
- 1 package (8 oz) of cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) of butter, melted
- 1 cup of powdered sugar
- Optional: Whipped cream or vanilla ice cream for serving
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the lemon cake mix and melted butter. Stir until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Press about two-thirds of the cake mixture into the bottom of the prepared baking dish to form the cake base.
- In another bowl, mix together the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.
- Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the cake base.
- Spoon the lemon pie filling over the cream cheese layer, spreading it out evenly.
- Sprinkle the remaining cake mixture over the top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 35-40 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the edges are bubbly.
- Allow the cake to cool for a bit before serving. You can serve it warm or at room temperature.
- Optionally, top individual servings with a dollop of whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
