Ingredients:

- 1 pound (16 oz) pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
For the Taco Meat:
- 1 pound ground beef or ground turkey
- 1 packet (about 1.25 oz) taco seasoning
- 1/2 cup water
For the Toppings:
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup chopped lettuce
- 1 cup diced tomatoes
- 1/2 cup diced red onion
- 1/4 cup sliced black olives (optional)
- 1/4 cup sliced jalapeños (optional)
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup salsa
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to the temperature recommended for your pizza dough, typically around 450°F (230°C).
- Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness. You can make it as thin or thick as you like.
- Place the rolled-out dough on a pizza stone, baking sheet, or pizza pan.
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef or turkey until it’s browned and cooked through. Drain any excess fat.
- Add the taco seasoning and 1/2 cup of water to the cooked meat. Stir well and simmer for a few minutes until the mixture thickens. Remove from heat.
- Spread the taco meat evenly over the pizza dough.
- Sprinkle the shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheese over the taco meat.
- Place the pizza in the preheated oven and bake for about 12-15 minutes or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly and lightly browned.
- While the pizza is baking, prepare your toppings. Chop the lettuce, dice the tomatoes, and dice the red onion.
- When the pizza is done baking, remove it from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes.
- Sprinkle the chopped lettuce, diced tomatoes, diced red onion, sliced black olives, and sliced jalapeños (if using) on top of the hot pizza.
- Drizzle with sour cream and salsa.
